Lewis Haldane

Lewis Haldane

Lewis Haldane, 23, a 6ft winger from Bristol Rovers was today seen at Oxford United's stadium.

It is believed that his signature will be tied up on Monday when the club will announce the signing.

Club officials were reluctant to confirm the signing until the paperwork had all been rubber stamped with the FA.

Lewis has played for the gas 176 times scoring 17 goals after arriving from Southampton.

He has also spent some time out on loan to Forest Green Rovers playing 13 games.

Regarded as a winger with a lot of pace who can play wide left or right.

Good luck if you do get him, but i must say that its Haldane not Haladine. I hope he plays better for you than he ever did for us, he showed some good signs of promise just never expanded on that. Perhaps he would be happier with you, and with CC you really will come back up

That would be another good signing. I was sure he was on the verge of joining someone else? Maybe some of the Rovers fans will know?

I suspect he would have had meetings with other clubs. Sounds like a player with frightning pace. But one game good then goes missing in others. May be a drop down to the BSP will give him the chance to get consistent.

He would do great for you and his confidence will grow with the first team experience, Carruthers will also do very well at this level, in fact i think its fair to say they will excel
