Kelvin Thomas at OUFC steps down
Kelvin Thomas took over as Chairman of Oxford United in 2008. The U's were languishing near the foot of the Blue Square Premiership and things looked bleak.
He removed the manager and replaced him with Chris Wilder; the U`s have flourished since and not just on the pitch. The commercial department is thriving while the Community department reaches thousands of youngsters all across the city and the whole of Oxfordshire.
Since coming into the job he has reached out to the fans not leaving a single question unanswered. His popularity rose to the heights only really seen once before when Robert Maxwell was at the helm.
There is however a massive difference Kelvin is leaving with tones of praise for all the work and success he has created at OUFC. Whereas Mr Maxwell left a club with lots of glory days but massive debts which nearly finished the club.
We wish Kelvin all the best in his career as he has left us back in the football league!
