For all you Oxford United fans who are feeling a little dejected after yesterday`s 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Chesterfield. Why not join James 'Beano' Constable at the Oxford Ice rink this evening in supporting the Oxford City Stars.
I've supported both Oxford United and Oxford City Stars for years being an avid sports fan. Football on a Saturday and Ice Hockey on a Sunday you just can`t beat it. Certainly gives you a good sports fix at the weekend.
An Ice hockey match is split into three periods of 20 minutes with a break at the end of the first two periods while the ice is re-laid. During the match any stop in play results in the clock stopping which means you get a full 60minutes of Ice hockey.
It`s fast entertaining and I`m sure any football fan would see the appeal straight away. The pre match build up and music during the match gives the whole evening an appeal that young and old would appreciate. It`s also a family focussed sport so the whole family would enjoy it.
Well if you have never been and can come tonight then the match this evening would be a great introduction as top of the table Peterbourgh Islanders take on 2nd placed Oxford City Stars.

Its £6 for adults and £3 for concessions with the match starting at 18:15hrs but I stress get to the rink early (probably 1745hrs) so you can soak up the atmosphere.
