Old and new tricks on the wing for United fans

Old and new tricks on the wing for United fans

Alfie Potter, 24 has agreed a new three-year deal which could keep him at Oxford until 2016.

The deal which is for 2 years and the club having an option of a further year will be welcome news to the fans.

Alfie is a real crowd favourite at United having arrived 4 seasons ago from Peterborough.

Alfie told www.oufc.co.uk:

'Ever since I came through the door four years ago, I have loved being part of this club and I am really looking forward to being part of it again as we try and take Oxford United up to League 1 and beyond. The fans have been fantastic with me and I can't wait to get back for pre-season and get playing in front of them again.

'I did OK last year but want to keep improving and growing as a player. We have done a lot of strength and conditioning work which means that I feel so much fitter and stronger than when I first joined and I just want to help Oxford United do well.'

last season Alfie played in all positions across the front line and had his best season so far. 52 appearances scoring 11 goals.

In total for Oxford United Alfie has played in 148 matches scoring 21 goals.
