Andy departs the U's

Andrew Roger Melville (born 29 November 1968 in Swansea) 45 has resigned from his job as first team coach of Oxford United.

Andy returned to Oxford United in July 2009 as first team coach. During his playing days Oxford paid 275k to Swansea in 1990 for the talented center half. He made 159 appearnces for the U's scoring 15 goals before Sunderland paid a fee thought to be around 700k mark in 1993.

His playing career also took him to Bradford City, Fulham, West Ham and Nottingham Forest. He made 845 first team appearances scoring 63 goals. He was also gifted enough to represent his Country over 15 years starting from 1989 63 times scoring 3 International goals.

A pleasant individual who would always speak with the fans and was seen as a true Oxford man for the years he has spent with the club.

We wish him all the best in his future career whereever that takes him.
