Oxford United in pre-season matches

Oxford United announced that they will take on Sky Bet League One champions Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Kassam Stadium in pre-season.

The U's normally have two home friendlies along with a few on the road. So watch this space reagrding other fixture announcements.

The U`s kick off at Farnborough of the Conference South on Saturday 12th July before travelling across town to take on Oxford City at Court Place Farm on Tuesday 15th (7.45pm).

On Thursday 17th July, United will play a friendly behind closed doors at Colchester United, then take on Didcot Town at Loop Meadow on Saturday 19th. The first home pre-season game of the summer sees them take on Kenny Jackett`s newly promoted Wolves on Tuesday 29th.

Wolves stormed back to the Championship as League One champions this season and are captained by former United youngster Sam Ricketts.

July 2014

Its not often that two teams come together having faced the same team in their last match.

Oxford drew 2-2 with Mansfield on Tuesday, while Morecambe lost 2-1 last Saturday away to the stags.
