Loud and Proud as U's aim to raise the roof

Loud and Proud as U's aim to raise the roof

A permanent singing section will be launched in the East Stand next season in a bid to boost the match-day atmosphere at home games.

Talks between the club and the Yellow Army the 'Yellow Noise' section will be located in the heart of the East stand and will enable like-minded fans to join forces to generate songs.

A section of 100 seats in Block 18 rows V, W, X and Y have been allocated as the Yellow Noise section. Vocal fans can now buy season tickets there, or have their existing season tickets moved to the area. No seats will be guaranteed so it`ll be a slight free for all on the day.

However current season ticket holders in this section can either move or it`s hoped the vocal group will be respectful of those that wish to remain.

A lot of fans have said that since the introduction of all-seater stadiums fans have found it difficult to keep songs going, as fans that enjoy singing are often split up. It is hoped by introducing a permanent singing section that songs will take hold and spread throughout the stand and stadium so every United fan becomes part of Yellow Noise.
