Oxford Bag a corker in the cup

Oxford United's reward for beating Bristol City in the 1st round of the Capital One Cup is an away draw with West Bromwich Albion.

The West Midlands club known as the Baggies play in England's top flight the Barclays Premiership.

In the United camp director Michael O`Leary has worked for the Baggies as have Mark Ashton, Michael Appleton and Mickey Lewis.

Ashton was a goalkeeper while Michael Appleton played in midfield and had a spell as caretaker manager. Mickey Lewis who needs no introduction to fans of OUFC came up through the WBA youth academy before signing his first pro contract with the club.

The tie will be played w/c 25th August and will be popular with the travelling U`s fans.
