U's part with Pep

On the 1st of July 2017 Oxford United announced the replacement for Michael Appleton the man being Pep Clotet.

The former Leeds United and Swansea City assistant was handed his first stint in the UK as a number 1.

His previous stints as a number 1 have show the following win rates

Viking Norway 32%
Halmsteds BK Sweden 12%
Barcelona B Spain 17%

At Oxford his win rate was 33% in 36 matches

His 1st batch of 18 matches resulted in W 8 D 5 L 5

His 2nd batch of 18 matches resulted in W 6 D 3 L 9

However it was in the second batch the U's suffered their record loss at home 7-0 to Wigan. Plus their last match against bottom club Bury 2-1. Both of these being at home in front of the home fans.

It did appear that the wheels were falling on the seasons push, with the U's falling away from a promotion push.
