Star Player

Jonny Mullins steadied the back line with a solid performance at the back

Oxford fans left the stadium and aired their views on Radio Oxford and Jack Fm. The consensus was a disappointment. But I`m not sure that was a fair assessment if you look at this match by itself rather than take previous disappointments into consideration.

Torquay are always challenging in this league for promotion and are up amongst the teams vying for at least the play offs again. We kept a clean sheet and as a team limited them to under a hand full of chances on our goal. Whereas at the other end we had no fewer than 17 attempts on goal.

That was our down fall in the match not putting at least one of those chances away against a decent side. An injury to Tommy Craddock just before half time did not help matters as he has been in a rich vein of form in front of goal with 10 goals this season.

We need to keep performing like this but taking our created chances.

you still hope that a good run of results over five or six games will turn this season from a huge disapointment into one that brings hope of a play off place. this league is so close
